[Video] Popular Marian market in Calabar gutted fire, millions of goods destroyed


Dealers at the Marian market in Calabar, the Cross River state capital, are at present checking their misfortunes after a fire ejected in the market in the early stretches of today, July 4. 

The reason for the fire is yet to be discovered. Marian market is the second-biggest market in the state.

Lightning struck man to death during a heavy downpour in Edo state

A man has kicked the bucket after he was struck by lightning during a heavy  downpour in Edo state.  The man, distinguished basically as Mr. Edafe, kicked the bucket on Thursday, June 4, in Benin, Edo State.  The expired was supposedly working at a structure site around the Cattle Market in Asoro Hill, on Ekehuan Road, when the downpour began. He took shelter in a close by uncompleted structure.  While there, trusting that the downpour will die down, he was struck by lightning and he kicked the bucket right away.

Suspected serial killer re-arrested in Ibadan

The police in Oyo state have re-captured Sunday Sodipe, the prime suspect in the arrangement of ceremonial killings at the Akinyele Local government Area of Oyo State.  He was as of late proclaimed needed by the Police following his illicit departure from Police guardianship on August 11.  The representative of the state police order, SP. Olugbenga Fadeyi, affirmed his rearrest to newsmen this evening Sunday, August 23.  Shodipe was re-captured at his grandmother's place at the Ojoo territory of Ibadan and is at present being kept at the Eleyele police headquarters.
