Ajao market in Lagos gutted fire, properties worth millions of Naira destroyed


Many properties have been lost in a fire related accident flare-up that happened in the Ajao market, Lagos state on Wednesday, July 1. 

The reason for the fire flare-up is yet to be found out yet primer examinations demonstrated the fire began from a shopping center near the market before spreading into the market. Some dismissing houses were additionally influenced by the fire flare-up. 

Men of the Lagos Fire Service Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA are on ground attempting to extinguish the fire. 

The representative of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, who addressed newsmen, said the fire began at about 1am today. He included that no loss has been recorded at this point. 

"There is a fire episode there. It began around 1am yet we are there as of now. From all signs, the Ajao Main Market has a little shopping center and from what we assembled, the fire began from the shopping center and reached out to the principle advertise and influenced some abutting structures. 

Yet, the LASEMA Response Team and different partners, including the Lagos State Fire Service and the police are as of now on ground to suppress the fire. No setback has been recorded for the present." Okunbor said.
