3-year-old baby in Imo state test positive for Coronavirus


3-year-old baby who tested positive for Coronavirus in Imo State is currently at the Isolation Center where he is getting treatment; the Chairman Task Force on COVID-19 Prof. Maurice Iwu has said. 

He said the child is an individual from a group of four, where three different individuals have additionally tested positive. 

Iwu, who talked with columnists yesterday likewise asked all occupants to come out as once huge mob for the COVID-19 test to find out their status. 

He said the Task Force is focusing on 100 people every day in the state as a major aspect of endeavors to contain the spread of coronavirus. 

Prof. Iwu said 25 of those proclaimed positive for the ailment are not from the state. 

Iwu said seven of the cases are dynamic, three are from a group of four, where the three-year-old tried positive and all are currently at Isolation Center for treatment.

Iwu said there is requirement for day by day testing of individuals and that the Committee is focusing on 100 individuals day by day and urged Imo individuals to make themselves accessible for the testing.
